Urodził się w Łodzi. Studia w PWSSP w Łodzi ( obecnie ASP). Dyplom w 1976 roku (grafika warsztatowa
i poligrafia). Zajmuje się projektowaniem graficznym, rysunkiem, malarstwem sztalugowym, plakatem, wystawiennictwem.  Prace w kolekcjach państwowych i prywatnych.

Andrzej Jan Bator, artysta, uprawia sztukę inspirowaną naturą i muzyką, tworzy obrazy i rysunki. Bierze udział w licznych wystawach zbiorowych i indywidualnych.

Born in Lodz. Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. Diploma in 1976 (printmaking

and printing). Graphic design, drawing, painting easel, poster exhibiting. Works in public and private collections.

Andrew John Bator, the artist creates art inspired by nature and music, creates paintings and drawings. He takes part in numerous collective and individual exhibitions.

 

Charakterystyka twórczości | Works characteristic

 

Kreska, linia jest podstawowym elementem wypowiedzi plastycznej i twórczej, która szczególnie w rysunku odgrywa ważną rolę. Jest śladem artystycznej wrażliwości, określa kontur, tworzy walor. Mnie interesuje lina
i wszystko co wokół niej się dzieje. Bawię się kreską, linią. Staram się rozwinąć sferę linii i kresek tworzonych na płaszczyźnie, a także kresek, które pojawiają się same - wyłaniające się z tła i współtworzące formy.

 

Podobnie jak w obrazach gdzie zestawione kolory wywołują odcienie innych barw, w rysunkach kreślone linie wywołują wrażenie dodatkowych linii, a wszystko to buduje ciekawe i zaskakujące miraże. W moich rysunkach
i obrazach tło nie jest płaszczyzną, na której rozgrywa się plastyczna wrażliwość. Płaszczyzna współtworzy dzieło i jest jednym z elementów twórczej wypowiedzi. Ta analogia istnieje w rysunkach i w malowanych obrazach. Jest to obszar moich fascynacji i zainteresowań.

The line is the basic element of my artistic expression and creativity, which especially in drawing, plays an important role. 

It's a trace of artistic sensitivity, it determines the contour, creates value. 

I'm interested in a line and everything that goes around her. I play line. I'm trying to expand the sphere of lines created on a surface and lines that appear themselves - emerging from the background and co-creating the form. 

Just like in the paintings where compiled colors evoke shades of other colors, in my drawings lines are plotted to give the impression of additional lines, and all of this is building an interesting and surprising mirages. 

In my drawings and paintings the background is not the surface, on which vividness sensibility takes place. Surface co-creates the work and is one of the elements of creative expression. This analogy exists in the drawings and paintings. This is an area of my fascination and interest.
